1/27/2014 0 Comments Snow day laziness![]() Well, we're on Snow Day #6 tomorrow. A bajillion inches of snow (15-18 inches first week of January and about 14 inches in the last few days) and crazy low wind chills (-20 Fahrenheit or colder) have kept me at home. Of course, I'm loving it! Here's a peek at the patio door, with drifts up to the handle. Keep in mind, there are two steps down from the house to the patio, which is at ground level. So, there's about 2 feet or so of snow below the bottom of the door. Craziness! Of course, the kitties love me being at home instead of at school. They're running, jumping, playing...who am I kidding, they're sleeping through this insane cold! Oscar copes by covering his nose with his paws, regardless of where he chooses to sleep. Frankie, in his fluffiness, is less phased. However, note his cute "thumbs" in the pic below. (He's a Maine Coon mix, so he's polydactyl.) Who knows if we'll end up going back to school Wednesday...the verdict is still out. The Severe Wind Chill Warning is until 7AM Wednesday, so it all depends on the roads and if it really does get that cold.
What do you do to stay warm on these chilly days?
